On Wednesday 25. February, the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr. Lars Peder Brekk, with guests, paid a visit to Ny-Ålesund and Kings Bay AS. They were hosted by Director Jon Erik Nygaard and Research Adviser, Mr. Bendik Eithun Halgunset. |

 The 16th of February the Governor of Svalbard adopted the new land-use plan for Ny-Ålesund. At the same time new bounderies for the security zones around automatically protected structures and sites were adopted. The new land-use plan will be printed out as a brochure and sent to all concerned organisations.
