 Photo: A.Kylling Svalbard's Environmental Protection Fund assigned money in 2011 to make a pilot project for a new exhibition at Ny-Ålesund city- and mining museum. LPO architects in Longyearbyen have made the pilot project. Pilot project made by LPO architects can be seen here (only in Norwegian)

Memorial service A worthy Memorial service for the 21 workers who were killed in the Ester mining accident 5/11/62 was held 5/11/12. H.M. King Harald and several other official guests attended as well as veterans from the mining era.
