The Svalbard Science Forum (SSF) provides the research community with a database to keep an updated and comprehensive overview of previous, ongoing and future research to be carried out on Svalbard and in Ny-Ålesund.
Kings Bay AS participates in the SSF and encourages all researchers to register projects in the RiS database before booking a stay in Ny-Ålesund. The Governor of Svalbard also requires researchers to register in the database to improve the overview of research on the archipelago.
