French students and journalist visiting |

Foto: Ole Øiseth Thursday 7th of June three French students, one journalist and Silje Bryne from The Norwegian Embassy in Paris visited Ny-Ålesund.
The students won a competition with an essay about: Snow and ice are melting far above normal seasonal changes, and the changes are occuring at an accelerating pace. We see this happening in all snow- and ice-covered regions: Antarctica, the Arctic, Greenland, the "third pole" of the Himalayas, and other glaciated areas throughout the world.
The group was given a brief about Kings Bay AS and Ny-Ålesund by Director Ole Øiseth, they also visited different research stations.
