Last weekend Sebastien Barrault (station leader AWIPEV) and Gunn Oftedal (Kings Bay AS) competed with two teams in the Trappers Trail race in Longyear.

Kings Bay AS got permission to build a new cabin by Bayelva where the old Nilsebu was placed. During the last weeks the cabin has been built inside the harbour store. When everything is ready the cabin will be transported out to Bayelva.

The first weekend in December the yearly Christmas party was arranged in Ny-Ålesund. A lot of guests came from Longyearbyen and the mainland to gather under the moon and the northern light in Ny-Ålesund. It was a great weekend with good food, entertainment and social activities.
